My name is Anna Meland, and I’m a Brisbane-based animator specializing in 3D character animation with a secondary interest in modeling. I recently graduated with distinction from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Animation). My ultimate career goal is to work as a character animator on 3D animated TV shows and films.

I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to both 2023 QUT animated short films, Whispers of the Oasis and Next to Me, where I primarily worked as a 3D character animator. I also took on secondary roles in character and environment modeling for these projects. My passion for 3D animation drives me to bring characters to life with personality and emotion, and I continuously strive to improve my craft.

Proficient in industry-standard software like Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine, I have gained a strong understanding of the animation pipeline through my collaborative work on short films and multidisciplinary projects. I love getting creative outside of animation as well, indulging in hobbies such as crocheting, reading, sketching, and cake decorating.
